Colorado gets new area code in addition to 303 and 720

Gone are the days when people in Colorado had either 303, 720, 970 or 719 as area codes. Another new area code will be coming to Colorado next year in 2026!
748 will go live in Northern and Western Colorado regions in a couple of years, joining the 970 code currently used in these areas.
The last time an area code was added to Colorado was in July of 2022, when the Denver area got the 983 code.
When 748 starts, Colorado will have six area codes in total – 303, 720, 983, 970, 748, and 719.
