Colorado boating season begins this weekend with low water levels

This weekend several Colorado State Parks boating season will be kicking off, but many will be doing so with low water levels.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife has announced several of the opening dates of the season for several State Parks including:
- Chatfield State Park (north ramp): March 1st at 6am (both ramps April 1st at 6am)
- Cherry Creek State Park: March 1st at 8am
- St Vrain: March 1st at 8am
- Boyd Lake: March 6th at 7am
- Jackson Lake: March 15th at 8am
- North Sterling: April 1st at 8am
- Barr Lake: April 1st at 8am
- Eleven Mile & Spinney: TBA on ice conditions
Despite several state parks opening this weekend to boating, CPW warns that low water levels are currently in effect and water hazards and debris could cause damage to your vehicles.
