Coloradans bet how much on sports? A record amount in December

A record amount of money was bet on sports in December by Coloradans.

Up 17% from November, over $716 million was wagered on sports in 2023’s final month, as reported by the Colorado Department of Revenue.

Not surprisingly, the top sport bet on was pro football which made up over $193 million of the handle.

Basketball wagers amounted to nearly $171.4 million, followed by NCAA football at nearly $46 million and NCAA basketball at $29.8 million.
