Cody Johnson Announces an Upcoming Duet with Brooks & Dunn at Colorado Concert

Jun 23, 2023, 3:33 PM

Cody Johnson and Brooks and Dunn are certainly no strangers… Cody was featured on the duo’s “Reboot” album with his take on “Red Dirt Road,” and released a cover of “Husbands and Wives” on his album “Ain’t Nothin’ to It,” but they are about to cross paths again…

At his show in Colorado Springs last night (June 22nd), Cody told the crowd that he was honored to have been on that “Reboot” album, and he thought the best way to pay them back would be to have them featured on his upcoming new album.

I was hopeful that Johnson was going to debut the song, but stopped short of that and instead played “Red Dirt Road.”

He did not announce a release date for the new project, but did make it seem like it was nearing completion.
