Jan 17, 2025, 3:48 PM | Updated: 4:14 pm

The National Western Stock Show, presented by CommonSpirit Health, kicked off with a record-breaking 59,520 guests on opening Saturday, surpassing the 2023 high of 58,901. As this cherished Colorado tradition continues, the MLK Jr. Holiday Weekend promises even more excitement for attendees.

Packed with thrilling rodeos, horse shows and family-friendly entertainment, the weekend lineup offers something for everyone. With 90 percent of events held indoors, visitors can enjoy the festivities without worrying about the weather.

Paul Andrews, President & CEO of NWSS, encourages the community to join in. “This is the perfect weekend to experience the stock show,” said Andrews. “We still have 10 pro rodeos, the MLK Jr. African American Heritage Rodeo, eight horse shows and crowd favorites like the Wild West Show and Xtreme Dog Show. Plus, there’s acres of shopping, delicious food and activities for all ages.”

To make your visit even easier, Andrews added, “We offer free parking at Coors Field, with complimentary heated shuttles that take you right to the front door.”

The Coors Field parking lots open daily at 8 a.m., with shuttles providing a quick and comfortable 10-minute ride to the National Western Complex.

Please note that events originally scheduled in the Ames Activity Pavilion have been relocated to the main building for the weekend. Updated locations and schedules can be found on the Kids Activities page at nationalwestern.com.

The 119th NWSS runs through January 26. Grounds admission and event tickets are available online at nationalwestern.com. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate Colorado’s legendary Western tradition!
