Carrie Underwood returning to Sunday Night Football | Music City Minute

Calling all football and Carrie Underwood fans! The Blown Away singer will be returning to Sunday Night Football. Underwood is set to open the NFL season with a performance of “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” before the LA Rams v. Detroit Lions game on September 8. Fans can watch the kickoff on NBC and Peacock.

Miranda Lambert has been selected to be the “Guest of Honor” at the second annual People’s Choice Country Awards on September 26. The Bluebird singer’s career of over 20-years will be celebrated with the presentation of the People’s Choice Icon Award. It’s worth noting, the first artist to receive this award was Toby Keith at the inaugural award show last year. It would also mark Keith’s last TV performance before passing away.
