With the NFL schedule being released tonight, certain matchups continue to be released. We already know that the Broncos are going to travel to Kansas City in Week 1 to take on the Chiefs on “Monday Night Football.”
Now we know that the Broncos will be playing on Christmas day this year.
Sources: The #Bills at #Broncos playoff rematch will take place on Christmas in Week 16.
Buffalo lost that game, ending its season, while Denver won but lost Bo Nix to an ankle injury. 🎄🏈 https://t.co/zzLIL7c7zo pic.twitter.com/fiiDUDO2kC

This will be a rematch of last year’s AFC Divisional Round matchup between the Broncos and Bills.
In that game, the Broncos beat Buffalo 33-30 in overtime after Bo Nix threw for 279 yards and three touchdowns. Josh Allen threw for 289 yards and three touchdowns, but also had two interceptions and three fumbles.
One of Allen’s interceptions came late in overtime, when he threw a deep pass to Brandin Cooks. But as the wideout came down to the ground, Broncos cornerback Ja’Quan McMillian stripped the ball from Cooks.
That play allowed the Broncos to have the ball for one final time as they drove down the field to get to the five-yard line for a 23-yard Wil Lutz game-winning field goal.
So far, Nix is 1-1 against Allen with both of their matchups coming in the playoffs. Now, the two QBs will face off in the regular season.
As a result, there’s a real chance that this game could come down to some playoff seeding late in the season. Will Denver go to Buffalo or will the Bills travel to face the Broncos in the postseason? Christmas Day might provide the answer.
