Broncos win 10 Straight, take over No. 1 seed in AFC after 24–17 victory in Las Vegas

The Denver Broncos are now the #1 team in the AFC after today’s 24–17 win over the Raiders in Las Vegas. And unlike the recent heart-stoppers we’ve seen, this one came without the chaos — a welcome change for fans’ blood pressure.

Denver’s offense moved the ball efficiently all afternoon, with RJ Harvey rushing for 76 yards and Bo Nix adding 15 more on the ground.

The Broncos struck first with an 8-yard rushing touchdown from Nix, but the Raiders answered with a 15-yard touchdown grab by Brock Bowers to end the first quarter tied. Late in the second, Denver broke things open thanks to a 48-yard punt return by Marvin Mims Jr., setting up prime field position.

In the third quarter, the Broncos controlled the clock with a long, steady drive capped by a 3-yard touchdown run from Harvey, extending the lead.

Las Vegas suffered a setback early in the fourth when QB Geno Smith exited with an apparent finger injury. Denver continued to dominate time of possession, putting together a nine-minute drive that ended in a Will Lutz field goal, pushing the lead to 24–7. The Raiders struck back late, but it wasn’t enough to erase the deficit.

With the win, the Broncos now sit at the top of the AFC, holding a tiebreaker over the Patriots. Next week, Denver returns home for a tough matchup against the Green Bay Packers, where they’ll look to tie the franchise record for consecutive wins — a mark of 11 straight that has stood since 2012.
