Brantley Gilbert and Cody Johnson discuss raisin’ their babies with values | Music City Minute

Oct 2, 2025, 5:02 PM

Ask any country artist what is most important to them, and guaranteed at the top of the list would be the value of family and instilling family values and their babies. A couple of high-profile country dads recently opened about their parenting styles. In Brantley Gilbert’s household, his three kids have very minimal screen time. Gilbert admits in this age of technology, setting limits for his can be challenging. However, he and his wife work together to prioritize outdoor activities for their kids, similar to the country rocker’s own upbringing.
Cody Johnson is the type of dad who shows up for his kids even if it means traveling hundreds of miles home for a few hours. “The Painter” singer admits he might have a small overspending issue with his kids. Nevertheless, Johnson considers the $10,000-$50,000 to hire a private jet to see his daughter’s dance recital is worth every penny. The country singer confirmed that he takes these trips regularly, especially with his heavy touring schedule, because those babies have their daddy wrapped around their finger.
