Boating season begins Saturday at Cherry Creek Reservoir

Mar 30, 2023, 8:17 AM | Updated: Mar 23, 2024, 8:27 am

It has been one of the coldest and snowiest Winters in Colorado in quite a while (Coldest start to a year since 1979 according to Chris Bianchi of 9News!) but with some mild days coming up this week and weekend, Cherry Creek Reservoir will be opening their west side boat ramp Saturday April 1st! And with Saturday looking to be in the mid-60’s that should be welcome news to many people who have been waiting for warmer weather for outdoor fun.

According to The Denver Post, Cherry Creek Reservoir’s east boat ramp should open sometime later in April depending on how the weather plays out.

Cherry Creek Reservoir ranks as the most visited state park in the state with over 2.2 million visitors last year followed by Chatfield State Park which had just under 2 million visitors (and whose north boat ramp opened last Saturday)
