What do you do when you’re a country star with a free day off? If you’re Blake Shelton, you put on a free surprise concert, apparently. The singer began teasing his Twitter followers on Wednesday morning (July 27) before announcing a last-minute show in Kansas City, Mo.

Shelton’s tweets began around 11AM ET: “Hmmmm … Well … Let’s play a game y’all,” he wrote. “I have the day off and a map of the United States in front of me. Where should I go?” When a follower asked if he was planning a surprise show, the artist responded that he was “just thinking of going somewhere, but hell, I guess I could.” After a few more teasing messages, Shelton revealed his plans: a free concert at Kansas City’s Whiskey Tango.
