Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan team up for reality competition show | Music City Minute

Late last year, we found out Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan were teaming up for a reality competition show called “The Road.” The premise of the show is some wet-behind-the-ears artists are teamed up with a major country music headliner that they open for at special concerts across the country. Keith Urban has been confirmed as that major headliner for the show. In a press release, Urban said he loves the idea of throwing artists into a real-world tour environment. Acknowledging that “paying your dues sucks,” but there are things in this business that can’t be taught, such as putting together a set list, how to extend or cut a song and work the crowd. Touring isn’t easy, but is proves what kind of grit you have to make it in the business. “The Road” is set to premier this fall on CBS.
