Bandimere Speedway to close this year

Apr 21, 2023, 1:22 PM

After over 60 years of serving up exciting races and competitions, Bandimere Speedway will be closing at the conclusion of the 2023 racing season.  The racing season ends on October 22nd and Bandimere, which is sanctioned by the National Hot Rod Association, will host its final NHRA event on July 14th-16th with the 2023 Dodge Power Brokers NHRA Mile-High Nationals.

The moves comes following the Bandimere family’s decision to sell the land which was purchased by John Bandimere Sr back in 1968 because of his dream to provide a safe environment for young people to learn about cars and race them off of public streets.

Despite the announcement of them closing their doors at their current location, Bandimere is not slowing down on events with over 60 currently planned through the final event currently booked which is a Test & Tune on October 22nd.  The Bandimere family is also working with investors on finding another location to possibly build a new facility.
