As A Bowler Myself, This is SO uncool!

Denver pro bowler Steven Gallegos got hit with a theft that’s equal parts wild and infuriating: someone swiped 17 bowling balls—about 255 pounds of gear—right off his front porch last week. The total value? Around $4,500, which is a whole lot of strikes and spares worth of equipment.
Gallegos says he’d left the bags outside overnight while moving stuff between vehicles, then woke up and they were just… gone. At first he thought his friends were messing with him—because, let’s be real, who’s out here casually hauling off bowling balls? But then it sank in: this was his entire tournament setup, and every ball has a purpose depending on lane conditions. “That’s the competitive advantage that I have,” he told KDVR, “but with that being gone now, I’m just back to being a normal bowler.”
And it showed fast—he had to compete Sunday with backup equipment and finished ninth. He doesn’t really expect the balls to pop back up, but he’s warning neighbors and telling everyone the same thing: don’t make it easy. In his words, “People will take anything in this day and age, don’t get lazy like I did.”
