Remember when John Elway had the Arena Football team – the Colorado Crush – at Ball Arena? That team is not coming back, but the game is…
The Crush played in the AFL until the entire league suspended operations in 2009.
The new team is town is the Colorado Spartans, part of the National Arena League. They played their first season at Blue Arena in Loveland. But, for their second season, they’re moving to the Denver Coliseum, where they plan to stay for the foreseeable future.
The Denver Coliseum will host seven Colorado Spartans home games beginning this Saturday, April 12, at 7 p.m. MT, and tickets will start at just $25.
The Spartans have already played three games on the road to start their season and currently sit at 1-2. Two of their defenders, Easias Gandy and Sam Hammond, lead the league in tackles and sacks, respectively.
