ACM Awards performances to include Cody Johnson

The Party of the Year will be thrown by the Academy of Country Music for the 59th edition of the ACM Awards. The event will air live on May 16 at 6 p.m. MT from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

Among the performers at the award show is Cody Johnson. The “Dirt Cheap” singer will attend not only as a performer, but as a five-time nominee, one of the nominations being for the most coveted Entertainer of the Year award. Johnson is also in the running for Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Visual Media of the Year. His single, “The Painter,” released in August of 2023, reached number one on Billboard’s Country Airplay charts, and his November release, “Dirt Cheap,” reached the 16th position.

Johnson will perform at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village as a part of his “The Leather Tour,” Friday, August 16, and Saturday, August 17, at 7:30 p.m. Joining him for his Friday performance is Tracy Byrd. Tickets for the show are available at www.AXS.com and the Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre Box Office.

The ACM Awards will be streamed on Prime Video.
