Two things you don’t often hear together… Surfing and Colorado. But soon you’ll be able to surf in Colorado even if the nearest ocean is thousands of miles away and it may be a blizzard outside.
Surf Shack, a recreation center, kind of like Top Golf, will offer simulated indoor surfing, food, drinks, and other activities.
The attraction coming to Colorado Springs’ northside in early 2026 and will feature a “double” wave machine manufactured by FlowRider to simulate ocean waves for riders. The machine will allow two riders at one time and can accommodate 20 to 30 surfers each hour. Riders pay by the hour and Surf Shack will provide surf boards free of charge.
The facility will also include a second-level sauna, two outdoor sand volleyball courts, a spacious patio with a hot tub, conference and party rooms, and locker rooms.
The project, which is projected to cost around $10 to build, will be the first of its kind.
