A seemingly ordinary accessory took on life-saving powers during a recent shooting in Commerce City, Colorado when a man narrowly escaped a potentially fatal gunshot wound after the bullet became lodged in the thick silver chain he was wearing.
The dramatic event went down during a heated argument, with the .22 caliber round intended for the victim’s neck getting tangled within the chain links instead, leaving him with only a minor puncture injury.
The perp was quickly arrested at the scene and now faces attempted homicide charges.
