Last I heard, the waiting list to get into the new revamped Casa Bonita was still over 600,000 people deep. Now, the wait may get even longer as the iconic Denver restaurant gets even more press.
Premiering June 7 at the Tribeca Film Festival is a documentary about Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of “South Park” who bought Casa Bonita, renovating the restaurant: “Saving Casa Bonita.”
Details on the film are few and far between, but the Tribeca lineup announcement described the film like this: “South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone launch a hands-on attempt to restore the iconic Colorado ‘eatertainment’ mecca Casa Bonita to its former glory. Directed by Arthur Bradford. Produced by Jennifer Ollman.”
Now the question is, will it eventually end up on Netflix causing 600,000 more people to want to come check it out?
