I guess when you’re sitting in prison bored, you come up with some pretty wild ideas…
Gregory A. Thomas is serving a 48-year sentence for murdering a 21-year-old woman, yes, from his prison cell he has filed his candidacy affidavit to run for governor of Colorado.
Someone has failed to let Mr. Thomas know that under state law, only electors are eligible to run for office. That means that he cannot legally run for governor because he cannot vote while serving a sentence for a felony conviction.
I guess that even though he’s not eligible to be on the ballot, he can still submit the paperwork to waste time…or maybe it’ll end up being some sort of social media stunt, as he has somehow amassed over 10,000 TikTok followers.
