A Bunch of Colorado Athletes Get ESPY Award Nominations

The annual ESPN awards, the ESPYS, honoring the best in sports, will be held in L.A. on July 12th, and Colorado will be well represented!

The nominees for the ESPYS were announced today and the Denver Nuggets are all over the list. They are nominated for “Best Team.” Nikola Jokic is up for three honors. Jokic is nominated for “Best Athlete, Men’s Sports” as well as “Best Championship Performance” and “Best NBA Player.” His teammate, Jamal Murray, is up for “Best Comeback Athlete.”

Vail’s Mikaela Shiffrin is nominated for “Best Athlete, Women’s Sports” and “Best Record-Breaking Performance.”

Meanwhile, fresh off his U.S. Open victory, Denver’s Wyndham Clark is nominated for “Best Golfer.”
