A UFO over Denver International Airport? New viral video adds to DIA’s conspiracy lore

Denver International Airport already has a demon horse with glowing red eyes, rumored secret bunkers, talking gargoyles and, as of last week, a United Airlines ghost hunt. Now a flying saucer can join the list. A YouTube video titled “Terrifying UFO Was Caught Over Denver Airport That You Weren’t Supposed To See!” is making the rounds. It had nearly 80,000 views within days of going up.

The video was posted Nov. 1 by the channel 50M Videos and runs just over an hour. That’s a long time to stare at the sky over Peña Boulevard. The description promises that the footage “has raised some serious questions.” If the title sounds familiar, there’s a reason. The same channel’s catalog includes “GIANTS ARE REAL,” “Terrifying Swamp Creatures That Got Caught On Camera!” and “If You See This Spider, Run Away Fast.” DIA is in some very spooky company.

Before you cancel your holiday flight, keep in mind that there’s no official word of anything unusual over the airport. The video comes from a channel that specializes in mysterious, creepy and “caught on camera” compilations, and we couldn’t confirm when or where the footage was actually shot. Most mysterious lights near a busy airport turn out to be planes, drones, satellites or a very ambitious reflection. Still, for an airport that has made a whole hobby out of its own conspiracy theories, a UFO was probably inevitable.

DIA has been leaning into the weirdness for years, so it may get a kick out of this one too. Until someone gets a clearer look, we’ll file the “UFO” right next to Blucifer under “Denver airport mysteries we’ve learned to love.”
