Passes for Boulder’s Sundance Film Festival go on sale Oct. 15

Colorado movie lovers, put October 15 on your calendar! This is so exciting. It’s so close.

Passes and ticket packages for the 2027 Sundance Film Festival in Boulder go on sale to the public October 15, giving us a chance to plan a movie outing that’s a little different from our usual Friday night.

The festival makes its Boulder debut January 21–31. For those of us in the Denver area, that means a trip to Boulder instead of an out-of-state vacation. Make a day of it: grab lunch, catch a screening and leave time to wander around town.

One important detail before you start planning: October 15 is for passes and packages—not individual movie tickets. If you’d rather try just one screening, single-film tickets go on sale January 8, 2027. Want to really fill your calendar? The Second Half Ticket Package includes 10 tickets to in-person screenings during January 27–31 for $450, including fees. And if January sounds more like blanket-and-couch season, the festival will also offer an online edition January 28–31.

Whether you’re a serious film fan or just curious about our new Colorado neighbor, these are dates worth saving!
