William Shatner is coming to Denver for a ‘Star Trek II’ screening and live Q&A

William Shatner, the 95-year-old Canadian legend who has played Captain James T. Kirk since 1966, is bringing his “Live On Stage” tour to the Paramount Theatre on Jan. 21, 2027. The evening kicks off with a full screening of the 1982 classic “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan,” widely considered the greatest Trek film ever made, followed by a 15-minute intermission and then Shatner himself taking the stage for behind-the-scenes stories and a live audience Q&A. The whole event runs about three hours and 20 minutes.
Tickets go on general sale Friday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster, with presale access already underway through the Paramount Denver. VIP packages are available in two tiers: a standard option that includes a post-show photo opportunity with Shatner, and a limited premium tier that adds a signed poster on top of the meet-and-greet. Resale tickets are already floating around in the $87-and-up range, so the sooner you act, the better your odds at a decent seat.
At 95, Shatner shows zero signs of slowing down. The man literally went to space in 2021, becoming the oldest person ever to leave Earth’s atmosphere aboard a Blue Origin flight at age 90. Now he’s crisscrossing the country on a tour that stretches from Madison, Wisconsin, in late October through Los Angeles and beyond in January. Denver’s stop falls on a Thursday night, which means you’ve got zero excuses about work the next morning, just call in sick and blame it on a transporter malfunction.
“The Wrath of Khan” turns 45 in June 2027, and seeing it on the big screen at the Paramount, one of Denver’s most gorgeous theaters, is about as close to a perfect movie night as it gets. Add in a live Q&A with the man who stared down Ricardo Montalban and screamed “KHAAAAN!” into the void, and you’ve got a once-in-a-lifetime Denver evening.
