‘Princess Bride,’ ‘Sinners’ and ‘Jurassic Park’ highlight 2026 Film on the Rocks lineup at Red Rocks

Apr 30, 2026, 4:37 PM

The only thing that might be better than watching your favorite band at Red Rocks is watching your favorite movie there!

Film on the Rocks, Denver’s signature summer outdoor cinema series, returns to Red Rocks Amphitheatre this June with a five-movie lineup that blends cult classics, anniversary screenings and an Academy Award-winning blockbuster.

Denver Film and Denver Arts & Venues announced the 27th edition of the series Thursday, with screenings running on select Monday evenings from June 8 through Aug. 10.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, May 1, at 10 a.m. at DenverFilm.org. General admission is $25; VIP reserved seating near the front of the amphitheatre is $50.

Each screening features a live pre-show performance by a Colorado artist or group, with gates opening at 6:30 p.m., entertainment at 7 p.m. and the film at 8:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Local comedian and actor Janae Burris will emcee all five events.

  • Monday, June 8, 8:30 p.m. — “The Princess Bride” Pre-show: School of Rock students

  • Monday, June 22, 8 p.m. — “Sinners” Pre-show: The Reminders

  • Monday, July 13, 8:30 p.m. — “Little Miss Sunshine” (20th anniversary) Presented in partnership with the Sundance Film Festival Pre-show: Wheelchair Sports Camp and DeVotchKa

  • Monday, Aug. 3, 8:30 p.m. — “Bridesmaids” (15th anniversary) Pre-show: May Be Fern

  • Monday, Aug. 10, 8:30 p.m. — “Jurassic Park” Pre-show presentation by Tyler Lyson, paleontologist and National Geographic Explorer

The July 13 screening of “Little Miss Sunshine” is shaping up as the marquee night of the season. Denver Film is partnering with the Sundance Film Festival — which makes its Boulder debut in January — to co-present the 20th anniversary screening. DeVotchKa, the Denver-born band that composed and performed much of the film’s beloved soundtrack, will perform before the screening, alongside Wheelchair Sports Camp.

Film on the Rocks, produced by Denver Film and Denver Arts & Venues and presented by Coca-Cola, has grown into one of Denver’s most beloved summer traditions, drawing more than 8,000 attendees per screening. Denver Film has worked with Colorado’s Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities to keep the events accessible, and organizers note that Film on the Rocks tickets remain among the most affordable on the Red Rocks calendar.
