Darius Rucker surprises fans with new venture outside of music | Music City Music

I have a confession in my not-so-distant past: I was obsessed with professional wrestling, which culminated in a peak fan moment of meeting Rey Mysterio Junior. If that seems like a surprising admission, I have more for you! As it turns out, Darius Rucker (yes, Hootie) is a huge professional wrestling fanboy. In fact, he is such a big fan he signed a deal with WWE to get a slice of a pie through merchandise. The “Wagon Wheel” singer has launched a new clothing line with WWE and Fanatics featuring t-shirts, flannels and jackets, with prices ranging between $40 and $110. Now, with all this exciting news, we cannot help but wonder if Rucker is going to find himself climbing into the ring anytime soon. I mean, he is an incredibly fit guy for almost 60. Moreover, if he does suit up the spandex, what do you think his wrestling name would be? According to the Wrestling Name Generator, he would be called Wayne “Big Body” Stone, a heel whose finishing move is a right-handed kick.
