Yay, The Bugs Are Already Here.

Colorado, we’ve got a bug problem — and this warm winter is to blame
If you feel like you’ve been swatting at more creepy-crawlies than usual this spring, you’re not imagining things.
After a winter that barely felt like winter — record warm temperatures across the state, hardly a deep freeze to speak of — pest control experts say the bugs never really went away. And now they’re making up for lost time.
Pest Control experts are getting double the calls because ants, spiders, wasps, the whole unwelcome crew showed up early and brought friends. If you’ve been outside, I’m sure you’ve noticed.
Here’s the kicker….this early start means bigger nests this summer. Wasp nests the size of basketballs, y ‘all! Let that sink in.
So here’s my advice, Colorado: Don’t wait. If you’re seeing ants marching through the kitchen, spiders setting up camp in the garage or wasps building condos under the eaves, call somebody now. Because this is one spring where “I’ll deal with it later” is not the move.
Stay safe out there — and maybe keep the windows closed.
