Denver’s Lakeside Amusement Park may reopen their most popular ride for the first time in four years this summer

Lakeside Amusement Park has been a staple in Denver for nearly 120 years and its main attraction is the Cyclone wooden roller coaster. Sadly, that ride has been closed for the last few seasons… But it may finally be changing!

In 2022, someone got injured riding the Cyclone and according to Denver 7, state regulators had Lakeside shut the ride down until they found a way to make it safer. Four years later, they may finally have their solution.

A social media page called American Coaster Enthusiasts posted about the Cyclone being tested. There is no word on if that means it will open this summer as Lakeside’s website says that “Cyclone Coaster and some other rides are currently closed.”
