MrBeast Bought a Bank App and Honestly, Good for Him

So apparently MrBeast—you know, the one my kids have been screaming about for the last five years while I pretend to understand what’s happening on the iPad—just bought a whole entire financial app called Step. Meanwhile, I’m over here using a coupon for $0.75 off Greek yogurt and feeling like a financial genius.
Step is basically a money app for teens and young adults to learn about budgeting, building credit, and not blowing their entire paycheck at Chipotle. It’s now part of his company, “Beast Industries.”
Jimmy (ye
s, his real name is Jimmy, which is deeply humanizing and also hilarious) told his followers: “Nobody taught me about investing, building credit, or managing money when I was growing up.”
Sir. SAME. I learned about money by overdrafting my checking account seventeen times in college and crying in a Target parking lot. If some 20-something YouTuber wants to save Gen Alpha from that experience, I say godspeed.
