Thousands of golden retrievers will will gather in Golden, Colorado this weekend

International Golden Retriever Day is on February 7th, 2026, and we have a pretty cool town in Colorado called Golden, so what a perfect opportunity to celebrate, right?

“Goldens in Golden” is one of the largest gatherings of golden retrievers in the world, as thousands of goldens and their humans gather downtown and along Washington Avenue beneath the iconic Golden arch.

In the event’s 7th year, dogs from 44 states are excepted to experience two Vendor Villages, entertainment, contests, food and drinks.

The event is free and runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Grab more info here.
