National Western Stock Show will go this weekend no matter how cold it gets

People familiar with the National Western Stock Show know that it goes hand and hand with freezing weather most years. 2026 has been an anomaly, but we aren’t going to escape without some cold after all…
Arctic air moves into Colorado through the weekend, bringing single-digit lows and the chance for snow, but the National Western Stock Show says the animals are warm, comfortable and ready for the final weekend of events.
National Western officials say the show will continue as planned, even if snow starts falling this weekend. They’re encouraging visitors to bundle up, plan ahead and allow extra time to get to the grounds.
The Stock Show has already seen record-breaking attendance days so far this year, and organizers are hopeful strong crowds will continue through the final weekend.
