Well, Broncos Country — how’s your heart rate?
The Broncos survived an overtime thriller to clinch a spot in the AFC Championship Game, which they’ll host next week at Mile High. It took nearly the entire overtime period, but Denver finally moved into field-goal range, setting up a 24-yard game-winner from Will Lutz to seal the win.
The Broncos’ defense was the difference all afternoon, forcing five turnovers against the Bills. None was bigger than the overtime interception by Ja’Quan McMillian, which gave Denver the ball back and set up the game-winning drive.
Now, the Broncos will await the winner of Houston vs. New England, who face off at 1 p.m. tomorrow. The AFC Championship Game is set for next Sunday at 1 p.m., as the Broncos look to punch their ticket to San Jose and the Super Bowl.
