For most kids, it’s almost a competition to see how much candy they can collet on Halloween. But one kid in Colorado is going viral for making sure other kids got candy when he found an empty bowl…
On Halloween, a Broomfield resident’s doorbell camera recorded the kid refilling the empty Halloween candy bowl on their porch. The video shows a group of boys noticing the empty bowl and one boy, dressed as a hospital patient, takes candy and a small toy from his own bag to leave for other trick-or-treaters.
The homeowner, Peter Billera, says he discovered the act of kindness when he checked the footage after hearing his dogs bark. He shared the video on social media in hopes of finding the child and thanking him. Billera says he’d like to meet the boy to shake his hand.
Billera describes the boy’s actions as a thoughtful and generous example for others. He’s asking his neighbors for suggestions on how to show appreciation to him when they meet.
