Drake White cancels NY show after serious accident, Reba McEntire celebrates half-century career | Music City Minute

Drake White and his band were involved in a very scary bus accident that sent their driver to the hospital. Pictures from the scene showed front-end damage to the bus and busted windshield. Although the “Luckiest Man” singer and his band were ultimately unharmed, they made a group decision to cancel their night’s show in Albany. White apologized and thanked fans for their support. He also requested prayers for his driver’s quick recovery.
Reba McEntire sat down with People magazine to reflect on her 50-year career. When asked if she had envisioned her current life when she signed her first music deal, the “Fancy” singer admitted “no,” because her imagination just wasn’t big enough. At that time, her world view was very small, consisting mainly of ranching and rodeo. However, as she gained popularity, her sister Alice stepped up to keep her ego in check with a toilet seat cover Christmas gift that read, “The Twinkle.” It was just a loving reminder to never become the pompous star, but remain a humble twinkle, no matter how far Reba’s career takes her.
