Country music friendships that stand the test of time | Music City Minute

Making friends and knowing who to trust in the music business is a major struggle for emerging artists. Fortunately, country music is stuffed to the gills with real, down-to-Earth personalities who have forged lifelong friendships. For instance, the legendary friend group of Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson is a perfect example of the bonds that make country music special. Other more contemporary friendships to emerge from the genre include Blake Shelton and Trace Adkins, who have been besties for nearly 20 years. Georgia boys Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan also share a decades-long friendship. One surprising, yet entertaining, friendship has blossomed between Kenny Chesney and Megan Moroney after spending months on the road together. Finally, a friendship I’m here for (and would like to see more of) is that of Ella Langley and Lainey Wilson. The connection between these two sassy ladies is easy to see, and I imagine when they are together, it is nonstop laughing.
