Two of Denver’s popular La Loma Mexican restaurants will be getting a new name

La Loma did not pay me to say what I am about to say, but truly it is my favorite restaurant in all of Denver. Soon though, I’ll have a different favorite, simply because they’re changing their name.
Previously, there were five La Loma restaurants in the Denver metro area, however, they were owned by two different people. The La Loma restaurants on Broadway in Denver and Castle Rock were owned by Mark Brinkerhoff, while the La Loma restaurants in McGregor Square, Greenwood Village and Parker were separately owned by Renée Brinkerhoff and her son William Brinkerhoff Jr.
Renée gained sole exclusive owner and operator of the La Loma brand and restaurants on Sept. 4. Now, the La Loma restaurants on Broadway and Castle Rock are changing their name.
La Loma on Broadway and in Castle Rock is now known as Savina’s Mexican Kitchen, “honoring the woman who started it all,” according to the new website.
While the two La Loma restaurants are getting a new name, Savina’s said nothing else has changed.
