One of Colorado’s largest Christmas light displays calls it quits after eight years, won’t return in 2025

Folks in Northern Colorado will have one less option when it comes to Christmas activities in 2025, as a popular Loveland attraction has announced it’s calling it quits after eight years.

Visit Loveland announced that their annual Winter Wonderlights has been canceled for the 2025 holiday season.

The event that was held each season at Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra was a walkable holiday lighting attraction that had featured 200,000 holiday lights, illuminated stone sculptures and a 23-foot LED Christmas tree, with music and vendors.

Tourism officials said they made the decision to cancel the highly popular winter event “to strategies that provide broader economic benefits and longer-term, year-round growth for the community.”

After facing a ton of backlash on social media, Visit Loveland posted and said that the lights might not be completely canceled, as a few community partners were interested in partnering with them. Fingers crossed!
