Colorado’s 8th Whataburger location opens this May, and it still isn’t in Denver

After years of not having any in Colorado, Whataburger will celebrate the opening of their 8th location on Friday (May 23), but they’ll still have ZERO in the Denver metro-area.
As a matter of fact, the 8th location of the Texas-based burger chain will be the furthest away from Denver yet. This one is in Pueblo at 2850 W. Pueblo Blvd.
If you don’t mind a little drive down south, Whataburger said the first guest in the drive-thru lane and the first guest in line for the dining room when they open on Friday at 11 a.m. will each receive a Whataburger gift basket. The next 100 customers will also receive a gift for dining.
There are already plans for the 9th Colorado Whataburger too, also not in Denver. That one will open in Fountain, Colorado in the near future.
So, will they ever come to Denver? The short answer is, “who knows.” There are no current plans for a location in the Denver metro-area, but they have to be pretty close to running out of places to put them to the south, so if there was ever a time, it has to be soon, right?
Currently, the closest location to Denver is about 20 miles south of Castle Rock in Monument.
