The initial shock of seeing Cybertrucks on Colorado roads is starting to wear off, but there may be a new vehicle out on our roads soon that’ll make you turn your head!

A Japanese-style of vehicle called a ‘kei vehicle’ will soon be street legal in Colorado. Known for their tiny size, these four-wheel vehicles offer a cheaper and fun way to get around.

On May 9, Governor Jared Polis signed HB25-1281 into law, which also established the proper process for titling, registratio and use of the vehicles. However, the law won’t go into effect until July 1, 2027.

Colorado is the 30th American state to allow the vehicles that only go about 40 mph in most makes. Some will top out closer to 80 mph.
