WeightWatchers files for bankruptcy

After over 60 years of being a leader in the world of weight loss, WeightWatchers has filed for bankruptcy.

The program which had celebrity endorsers ranging from Oprah Winfrey to DJ Khaled, was once one of the top weight loss programs before new options such as Ozempic have taken a huge portion of the market.

The company is hoping to eliminate over $1 billion in debt and restructure its its company to be better equipped in the new landscape.
