Cinco De Mayo Fest returns this weekend

Denver’s 36th annual Cinco De Mayo Festival returns this weekend!

Kicking off Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Cinco De Mayo Parade, which will start at 13th Street and Welton and end at 13th Avenue and Lincoln (with the prime viewing area being at the capital building), the two-day event will have many featured events for the family such as:

  • Lowrider Car Show Saturday and Sunday (Colfax from Bannock to Broadway)
  • Chihuahua races Saturday at Noon  (Center of Civic Center Park)
  • Taco Eating Contest Sunday at 2pm (Center of Civic Center Park)
  • Entertainment stages both days

The festival, which celebrates Mexican culture, has grown into one of the biggest festivals in the Rocky Mountain region.
