Broncos will pay Russell Wilson to play against them for the Giants this season

What will likely go down as the worst trade in NFL history could even get worse for the Denver Broncos, as Russell Wilson will get to play against the team that traded away a fortune to get him, and then gave him $85 million to go away after just two years in 2024.
Wilson will be making a trip to the Mile High City after agreeing to a deal with the New York Giants, as the Broncos are among the road opponents for the Giants in 2025.
The NFL has yet to finalize the regular-season schedule, so it’s unclear when Denver and New York will face off.
ESPN reported that Wilson is getting a one-year deal worth up to $21 million, including $10.5 million guaranteed. Denver still is on the hook for $32 million owed to the quarterback in 2025.
So, in other words, the Broncos will be paying Russ, more than almost any player on their own team, to try and beat them next season. If he does, it’ll be just another reason the Broncos trade to get him from Seattle will go down as the worst trade ever!
