There’s a new dating app in Denver, and if you love filters you’ll hate it

Mar 3, 2025, 5:04 PM | Updated: 7:46 pm

If you’re looking for love around Denver, there are hundreds of apps to help you, but there’s a new one available for download that’s a possibly the most authentic way to meet people…

The RAW dating app launched in Denver last month, promising users a more genuine, “unfiltered” experience than other apps.

It basically works like the social media app, BeReal. Once a day, users are prompted to take a photo of themselves and their surroundings using their phone’s front and back cameras. Those daily photos are what singles swipe yes-or-no on when selecting dates on the app. Users have to take new photos every 24 hours and they can’t swipe on other people until they update their daily pictures.

The idea is supposed to prevent catfishing, making users show themselves in real time without any photo editing or identity theft.

The app’s basic features are always free to use. To enhance your experience, you can purchase extra features like “Superlikes” and “Boosts,” or subscribe to “RAW Premium.”
