There’s no one hotter in country music right now than Zach Top, and he proved that today by releasing a new album, “Not In It For My Health,” which people are going crazy over. Some of the stories in the new songs could be based on his experiences in Colorado, as he spent a good chuck of time living in our state.
Zach lived in Colorado for six years before moving to Nashville and even told us here at KYGO a few months back that he frequently visited the Grizzly Rose, where he be performed two sold-out shows in January, and listened to KYGO.
Zach came to Colorado from his native-Washington to attend the University of Colorado in Boulder and become a mechanical engineer. He quickly learned he wasn’t into that, and dropped out to work and earn money for a move to Nashville. But instead of going back to Washington, Zach stayed in the Boulder-area for about five more years.
Zach’s cover song videos started to blowup on social media while in Colorado, and that paved the path for his move to Tennessee and his meteoric rise to country music stardom.
The two shows at the Grizzly Rose earlier this year were the “fastest sell-outs in the history of the world famous country music venue,” according to the club owner, Scott Durland.
Zach will be back in Colorado for two shows at Red Rocks September 28th and 29th. Grab tickets for those here.
