Jan 20, 2025, 3:26 PM | Updated: 7:33 pm

Although the coldest temperatures of the polar vortex in Denver are now behind us, tomorrow morning (Jan. 21) will still be extremely frigid, so many schools and business are delaying the start of the day.

Denver Public Schools, Aurora Public Schools, Cherry Creek School District, Poudre School District, St. Vrain Valley School District, Thompson School Dist. R2-J, and Pawnee School District RE-12 are among the districts opening late on Tuesday at the time of this article publishing.

Temperatures are forecast to be in the negatives early Tuesday morning. By Tuesday afternoon, the temperature in Denver could break above freezing for the first time since Friday afternoon.
