Denver’s newest coffee shop gives 100% of profits to help homelessness

A lot of people talk about making a difference, but this is what that actually looks like right here in Denver…

Change Please Coffee started in London in 2015 and is now in eight countries, with a brand new location in the Denver-area.

The new location, only the second in the U.S. is at 2115 Scranton Street in Aurora.

100% of Change Please profits power career development programs for people facing housing insecurity. Their unique combination of barista training, career coaching, and employment support helps people envision and embark on their own life-changing career path.

When you buy a coffee, or donate to the foundation, they use 100% of those profits to help people maintain stable employment and get into permanent housing. Trainees learn practical skills like pouring latter art and delivering great customer service, as well as soft skills like interviewing and how to best position themselves for career advancement.

The whole process is designed to elevate a Trainee’s confidence and self-worth. They are paid a living wage for their training program and provided opportunities to experience themselves as valued community members and service providers. At the end of training graduates receive one-on-one support in identifying and pursuing roles that match their career goals.

Change Please Coffee in Aurora is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
