John Moreland and Turnpike Troubadours fiddle player get in physical altercation | Music City Minute

Aug 8, 2024, 4:31 PM

Turns out the outlaw country attitude is still very much alive in the Americana/alt country/folk scene, where John Moreland is a central figure. Recently, he was enjoying himself at a lounge in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Unfortunately, the night took a turn when Moreland and the fiddle player for Turnpike Troubadours, Kyle Nix, got into a physical altercation. There’s not a ton of detail, but it started with some words, then Nix pulled Moreland off his bar stool and started kicking him. Moreland was able to get back on his feet and fight back, then the men were separated shortly after. Fans on both sides have expressed their interest in a John Morland/Turnpike Troubadours diss track battle and lowkey, I’m here for it too.
I’m Sheena, and that’s your Music City Minute.
