Academy of Country Music Awards recap | Music City Minute

The Academy of Country Music Awards was a rootin’-tootin’ good time! Ashely McBryde and Noah Reid had the audience in stitches with their parody songs. There was not a dry eye in the house during Jason Aldean’s tribute to Toby Keith with “Shoulda Been a Cowboy.” Winners in the New Artist categories were Tigerlily Gold, Nate Smith and Megan Moroney. Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson won for best Music Event. Jordan Davis won Song of the Year, and Best Single went to Luke Combs for Fast Car. Chris Stapleton won Best Album and Male Artist of the year. Old Dominion won for best Group and Dan + Shay won best Duo. Miss Lainey Wilson was crowned best female artist and took home the top prize of Entertainer of the Year!
