More snow on the way this weekend in Denver

Feb 8, 2024, 7:08 AM

While temps will remain mild throughout the Denver metro today, forecast models like the one at 9News show that the fluffy white stuff is on the way.

Of particular note is Saturday when roads can get really slick with continued precipitation and colder temperatures.

West of Denver, much of the state is already under a winter weather advisory with the western slope under a winter storm warning where snow totals could reach as much as 20 inches. As that front heads east, we should start to see some of the effects of that precipitation on Friday evening.

Friday will have up to a 40% chance of snow in some parts of the metro and then Saturday, it climbs to 70% with highs only in the low 30s.
