Broncos Finalizing Deal with Saints for Sean Payton to Become Next Head Coach in Denver

After several reports stating the Denver Broncos and Sean Payton weren’t going to work out, it now seems clear that he will actually end up being the next head coach of the Broncos.
The New Orleans Saints and Denver Broncos are finalizing compensation in return for Super Bowl-winning head coach Sean Payton, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Saints will receive the Broncos’ 2023 first-round pick (No. 30 overall) and their 2024 second-round pick for Payton and the Saints’ 2024 third-round selection, sources said.
Of course the Broncos and Payton still have to come up with a deal after the trade is finalized, but most would assume that will happen, and Payton will be the next head coach of the Broncos.
